Sunday, March 8, 2015, in the enchanting St. Maarten yacht charter location, nestled in the Caribbean, will see the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta close out the final night of music with one of the most distinctive performances to date. DJ Natty Rico will be the final act to grace the regatta stage during the ‘Legendary Party’ following Kool and the Gang. His amazing blend of saxophone playing and DJ skills will have visitors’ jaw dropping in amazement. The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta line-up on Sunday is expected to be legendary.
The night starts off with local talent, DJ Outkast followed by prize giving for all regatta participants. Prize giving is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm. Once the trophies have been handed out and the winners have had their pictures taken with the famous Heineken girls, the show will continue with a performance by Soca Superstars Youth Waves. The headliner for the evening is scheduled to take the stage at 11:00pm and promises to be a Legendary show by Grammy Award winning music legends Kool & the Gang.
But if you think that this is the end of the night’s entertainment, you are mistaken. The final act of the night is one you are least expecting. DJ Natty Rico, originally from France and currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada, promises to deliver a performance not to be missed. This will be his first St. Maarten Heineken Regatta performance and he is scheduled to take the stage at 1:00am.
Natty’s performance style is unlike anything you have ever seen before and when asked about what the crowd can expect during his performance he said “I’m first of all a musician, I play sax and use my players as a music instrument! I produce and play house music, but I adapt myself too, with the crowd I have in the front of me. I’m a music lover, so I love playing everything, and I never know in advance what I will do. I’m really happy to come to St. Maarten to perform for the Regatta.”
When you think about a DJ, you tend to think about the music they will play and their skills on the turntables, but this DJ is certainly different. He does not only play the beats, he also plays the saxophone and even does them both at the same time. It seems almost impossible to imagine but his individual style of blending incredible saxophone skills while simultaneously Deejaying truly is something you have never seen before and most certainly won’t want to miss.
So just when you think the show is over, don’t be so quick to hit the hay, stick around and watch the final performance of Natty Rico, DJ and Saxophone extraordinaire.
