June 5, 2015, during the annual convention of Ucina, the Italian Boat Builders Association, saw Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino, Nauta Yachts founders, receive the “Pioneers of the Boating Industry” award in the category “Designers, for their contribution to the promotion of pleasure yachting in the world”.
Composed of different categories, such as Managers, Craftsmen, Journalists and Designers, that have been active in the boating business for at least 30 years, the prize recognizes their professionalism, skills, as well as quality of their work.
This year saw Nauta Yachts christen its largest sailing yacht, the Baltic 116’ superyacht Doryan, on top of the Baltic 115’ super yacht Nikata, Southern Wind 103’ #4, Southern Wind 94’ #3, Advanced 80’ yacht Apsaras, as well as Cantiere delle Marche CDM Nauta Air 90’ motor yacht Noga.
The Nauta studio is presently working on their sailing flagship, a full carbon Baltic 130 yacht, and has four new projects in build at the Southern Wind Shipyard that total 370 feet in length all together. Moreover, the studio has two vessels under construction at Cantieri delle Marche, the CDM Nauta Air 108’ and the CDM Nauta Air 111’, in addition to the first Moonen Martinique 120’ yacht, boasting Nauta Design interiors.
At the moment in the design phase are a 115’ sloop, the all-new Grand Soleil 58’ for Cantiere del Pardo; new Oceanis models for the Bénéteau Group, as well as the new 2016 catamarans for Lagoon. Nauta is also presently working on the design of three very large superyachts for private owners under strict confidentiality.
