Nautor’s Swan have announced the launch of two new flagship superyachts, the Swan 115.002 FD sailing yacht SHAMANNA and the Swan 115.003 RACE SY HIGHLAND FLING 15 at the Gulf of Bothia. The occasion took place in a year where Nautor’s Swan celebrates its 50th anniversary with the company planning on releasing a number of novelties this year.
Swan 115 FD – SHAMANNA
The Swan 115 is an innovative yacht with an advanced design for cruising and racing. The initial concept was made for two potential clients who wanted to increase the return in terms of enjoyment and the joy of owning a large sailing yacht. In addition to the usual family cruising comfort, they desired extra adrenaline pumping racing and sailing at higher maximum speeds downwind. The existing brief led Nautor’s Swan to design a max waterline length hull that could be optimised for speed in the lighter weight condition, a characteristic completely different from the traditional heavy cruiser racer concept, that because of their deep hull, do not gain speed by being lighter due to loss of sailing length.

The Swan 115 FD – Flush Deck version boasting an uncluttered deck space and sleek lines represents the ultimate performance Swan, bringing together the iconic style and quality the brand is well-known for with leading edge construction techniques and materials.
The shape of the hull, with its plumb bow and wide stern, penned up by German Frers, has been created with a focus on performance, with twin rudders for elevated responsiveness and better control when heeling.
The interiors boast traditional teak hand-built by Nautor’s experienced craftsmen in Finland, with light oil wax satin finishes and modern details throughout. Nautor’s in-house interior designers and architects collaborate with each client to define the Swan of their dreams.
SWAN 115 RACE – HIGHLAND FLING 15
The Swan 115 RACE version will be able to reach very high speeds especially reaching and running similar to those of the grand prix maxis. This version is characterised by a long bowsprit for improved downwind performance. In addition to the standard straight propeller shaft arrangement, a retractable propeller arrangement is available for the racing man. Both versions have push button sail handling as standard. The hull and deck are constructed in carbon fibre using foam and Nomex core.

Both, SHAMANNA and HIGHLAND FLING 15 are scheduled for delivery in a few months. Following their delivery, they will participate in the Rolex Swan Cup in Porto Cervo (11-18 September) in Italy. The Swan FD luxury yacht SHAMANNA will be also attending the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show.
In addition to these fabulous vessels, two more Maxi Swans are in the assembly process at BTC in Pietarsaari: the Swan 115 RACE versions and the brand-new Swan 95 S version.
