Nautor’s Swan has launched its first ClubSwan 80 model sailing yacht MY SONG, from its shipyard in La Spezia, Italy.
The 24.38m/79.11ft racing yacht was designed for an experienced owner who was in attendance for the ceremony. The exterior styling was created by Juan Kouyoumdjian while the interiors are naval architecture was completed by the shipyard in collaboration with Persico Marine.
To make her a high-performance modern racing yacht, she is constructed with a lightweight hull and shallow draft, using a 4.75m/15.7ft canting keel. She also has a retractable bowsprit able to hoist a spinnaker and twin rudders.
Marcell Persico, CEO of Persico Marine, says that she is built to the same standards that the company uses for America’s Cup contenders and IMOCA 60s that take part in The Ocean Race and Vendée Globe – some of the world’s toughest ocean races.
In addition to her racing credentials, MY SONG and the CS80 model, in general, is a highly desirable choice for fast sailing, shorthanded sailing and sports cruising in comfort.
The versatile interiors are designed so that she offers a comfortable environment for weekend cruising, and as much weight as possible can be removed when it is time for regattas: The Master Suite has a king-sized bed that can be divided into two twins or removed entirely. In fact, most of the interior can be removed if it is not needed for racing, from the gimballed oven and salon tables to the carbon fibre toilets in the three bathrooms and the aircon system
The minimalist interior styling further reduces excess weight while creating an inviting, masculine environment using grey-black carbon fibre accented by rich red-brown mahogany, russet accents in the furnishings and abundant warm lighting.
This first ClubSwan 80 model completes the ClubSwan range, which also consists of the CS36, CS50 and CS125 models.
Sailing yacht MY SONG will show the world what she is capable of when she makes her public debut at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup this September 2022, followed by the Monaco Yacht Show taking place 28th September – 1st October 2022.
