Nespresso will be present in the America’s Cup Village in Naples – an event embraced by the public as proven by the half a million spectators who attended the Naples event last year. Nespresso sailing ambassador and Italian sailing legend, Francesco de Angelis, will be present in Naples giving VIP and media guests the opportunity to have his insights into the experience of the America’s Cup as he shares his knowledge and passion for the oldest trophy in international sport. Francesco de Angelis became the first Italian skipper to ever win the prestigious Louis Vuitton Cup, helming Luna Rossa to victory in the 1999-2000 Louis Vuitton Challenger Series.
After the America’s Cup World Series event in Naples, the world’s attention will turn to San Francisco, USA, and the Louis Vuitton Cup, America’s Cup Challenger Series from the 4th July to 30th August where the quest for the ultimate cup begins. This is followed by the main event itself, the America’s Cup Finals between the 7th to 21st September, which will determine which team will lift the oldest trophy in international sport.
