Dubois Naval Architects have unveiled their latest 35m super stern superyacht design, marking a welcome return of the multi-award design studio to their successful racing yachts designs of the 1970’s and 80’s. Destined for an existing Dubois Owner, the 35m Dubois super stern sailing yacht design is a high-speed, composite sloop, mixing up state-of-the-aft technology with performance prowess and superyacht style.
The unique feature of the 35 Dubois super stern luxury yacht design represents her convertible stern platform, opening through 180 degrees to show a sheltered ‘beach club’ arrangement with a swimming/boarding platform. This area is directly accessible from a lavish full-beam master cabin with en-suite. The interior layout also includes two twin guest cabins, both en-suite. Forward, there is space for two crew in twin bunks starboard and a captain’s double to port.
The high-tech hull of the 35m Dubois super stern yacht design has been designed for carbon fibre construction with a structural Nomex core and vacuum infused epoxy. She will feature a twin-rudder arrangement, high-aspect ratio fin and bulb keel – lifting to allow unrestricted cruising – and above deck a regatta-winning sail wardrobe with a flat top mainsail, blade, code, as well as bowsprit-set-gennaker.
The build yard and interior design team are still to be decided for this striking yacht, however, Dubois Naval Architects are confident that she will be launched in time for summer 2017.
