Heesen Yachts is thrilled to present their new 50m Fast Displacement motor yacht NOVA (project name), the first vessel in a new series of Heesen yachts. The keel of the all-aluminium YN 17850 superyacht NOVA was laid in the presence of the ABS surveyor at the Heesen facility in Oss in February 2015 and her construction is due to be completed by Spring 2017.
Following a huge success of the 65m mega yacht Galactica Star, the world’s first vessel with a Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), the 50m luxury yacht NOVA boasts the same superlative levels of performance, efficiency and maximum comfort in a smaller design package of under 500 GT, with emphasis on fuel efficiency.
Super yacht NOVA is a beautiful and highly comfortable displacement vessel with reduced environmental impact, thanks to relatively small engines and attention to weight control. She consumes less with an amazing transatlantic range of 3,750 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots with only 45m3 of fuel, and is also more spacious.
Project NOVA yacht has been magnificently designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, with interior styling by Sinot Yacht Design. She boasts an eye-catching superstructure, vertical bow and generous fixed aft platform with a magnificent staircase leading to the main deck. There is accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 elegant cabins. The master suite can be found on the main deck forward and has a bathroom with central bathtub. The additional cabins are all positioned on the lower deck. There is a forward, full-beam VIP suite with a spacious bathroom with bathtub, two twin cabins located amidships, as well as two double cabins aft, both equipped with ensuite shower rooms.
The lower deck hosts a gym, dividing the guest accommodation from the engine room, thus ensuring protection against noise and vibration. There is also the fixed swim platform with generous space to relax and a pantry with wet bar.
