Following a great success of the Long Island 85’ and the news about the partnership with Privilege Marine announced in September 2015, JFA Yachts is delighted to announce that they have signed the all-new catamaran Privilege S8 by Long Island. The vessel is a sistership to luxury charter yacht WindQuest, however, it will feature a different interior veneer and a hard top on the flybridge.
Outside, there is a generous aft cockpit with a seating area on starboard and another one on port with a dining table, sunbeds either side, as well as a day head. The cockpit is extended inside by a seating area with a bar on starboard and a dining-room on port. The inner helm station is set up against the bulkhead between the two indoor areas. The glass door aft, the large side portholes and the front windscreen create a very luminous space down below.
The yacht offers a total of 124sqm of floor space to sleep 9 guests and a crew of 4 in maximum comfort. There is an exceptionally large, full-beam owner’s suite providing a fantastic 180° view, never before seen on a sailing or even on a motor yacht of this size. The port hull hosts the owners’ bathroom, a 3 bed children cabin and another guest cabin can be found aft. There is also a guest cabin in the starboard hull, as well as the crew quarter including the skipper’s own cabin, the crew cabin, the galley and mess.
Hulls will be made of aluminium, while the deck and superstructure will be built out of composite material. This S8 by Long Island catamaran will be run by twin 380HP engines and 2 x 27kW generators. The 16’ tender will be stored aft of the cockpit, easily launched using a lifting platform.
