Last week’s Monaco Yacht Show 2015 saw the Overmarine Group unveil the new Mangusta Oceano 55 and Mangusta GranSport 48 yacht projects. Both luxury superyachts bear the exterior design by well known Alberto Mancini.
MANGUSTA OCEANO 55
While maintaining the family feeling of the Mangusta Oceano 42 yacht model, the all-new tri-deck Mangusta Oceano 55 superyacht boasts a strong personality with decisive lines that enhance her grandeur. Everything aboard this striking vessel has been designed in order to maintain visual contact with the sea and the excitement of being outdoors.
The amazingly generous, 160m2 sundeck of luxury yacht Oceano 55 is a breath-taking part of the vessel, where a large hard top creates a huge area protected from the sun. At bow, the external part has been designed to host a 5mx5m swimming-pool with a waterfall featuring an infinity effect which develops over the two decks. The stern features 3 openings providing access to the sea: the central hatch and two side terraces rotate to create an out and out 70m2 top-class Beach Club.
The interiors of motor yacht Oceano 55 can comfortably sleep up to twelve guests and a crew of up to eleven, whilst still guaranteeing supreme privacy and freedom of movement. The main deck hosts the salon and dining-room, as well as a fully-equipped galley and a full-beam Owner’s suite measuring almost 100m2 at bow.
Powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 M73L engines, superyacht Oceano 55 can achieve a maximum speed of 17,5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, a pace which enables her to cover a range of over 5000 miles. The stabilisers – both at anchor and underway – contribute to maintaining an exceptional comfort.
MANGUSTA GRANSPORT 48
Beautiful, elegant and sporty Mangusta GranSport 48 superyacht represents the very first 48-metre Fast Displacement yacht from the all-new Mangusta GranSport line. Boasting a racy profile, powerful engine, fast cruising speeds and spacious, functional onboard volumes, this vessel has been designed to travel long distances easily, quickly and comfortably.
“This line enables us to enter a new segment of yachts with sporty lines, very comfortable, that have an extensive range and low consumption,” commented Francesco Frediani, Group Commercial Director. “These yachts will satisfy the demands of those Owners looking for high performances during long voyages.”
Externally, motor yacht GranSport 48 offers an amazing swimming-pool and Jacuzzi that dominate the bow sun bridge and bring light into the Owner head through the glass skylights on the base. Astern, rotation of the central hatch and two side hatches give life to an out and out club on the sea, with terraces and a fully-equipped beach area.
The flybridge of luxury yacht GranSport 48 hosts a central bar designed to serve both areas. Towards the bow there is a dining area with a table that can seat 10, protected by the hard top. Towards stern there is a living area fitted with sofas as well as chaise-lounges.
Offering an elegant environment which welcomes guests into a relaxing atmosphere, the interiors of super yacht GranSport 48 converse with the exteriors by means of large glazed surfaces in a concept of fluidness and continuity which characterises the entire vessel: the large windows in the salon let in plenty of natural light and a fantastic view of the sea. The Owner’s suite converses with the head area by means of a glass door, thus creating a unique area where the transparent sky of the head welcomes the refraction of the water of the swimming-pool on the overlying sunbridge.
Thanks to her twin MTU 16V 4000 M93L engines and the presence of stabilisers, Mangusta GranSport 48 yacht can comfortably achieve a maximum speed of 26 knots, with low consumption and a range of around 3800 miles.
