New Zealand-based builder, Yachting Developments, is excited to announce that this month, they have signed an order for the new 38,7-metre sportsfisher motor yacht Hull 1015. Following the order for the 33,5m sloop Hull 1012, superyacht Hull 1015 is the second project signed by the shipyard in 12 months. Construction of Hull 1015 will start immediately, with delivery scheduled for 2017.
Luxury yacht Hull 1015 features both naval architecture as well as exterior design by Michael Peters Yacht Design, with interior styling by New Zealand-based Below Decks Marine Interiors, and project managed by Australia-based Motor Yacht Build.
Destined for an experienced owner – an international sportsfisherman, super yacht Hull 1015 will be entirely made of carbon. The vessel will represent the second sportsfisher project the yard has worked on, following the 2012-launched 27,4-metre motor yacht SATU.
“It is exciting to have two such different new build projects underway, which each showcase the wide skillset we have here at the yard,” comments Ian Cook, Managing Director of Yachting Developments. “We are of course very pleased that the owner of Hull 1015 has chosen to work with a New Zealand shipyard, recognising that it is a country that builds world class yachts.”
Hull 1015 superyacht will start construction alongside the 33,5m superyacht Hull 1012, currently over half way complete. At the moment, the yard is also working on the refit of the 22-metre legendary Kiwi yacht WINDHAVEN.
