Nick Mezas Yacht Design in collaboration with Van Oossanen present the new 69-metre superyacht Project Smooth. The main idea of this design is to create a fast superyacht for long-distance cruising, while providing an ultimate comfort for all guests aboard.
Van Oossanene Naval Architects came up with a combination of Fast Displacement Hull with Integrated Hull Vane, which would allow a maximum speed of 20 kn with a great range of 5,000 nm at 14 kn, while maintaining high fuel efficiency.
To provide a sense of safety, as well as to add a powerful look, the design features thick bulwarks on every deck. The exterior of Smooth features sleek silhouette matching to the latest trends in super yachting.
Accommodation is offered for up to 12 guests. The owner’s full-beam suite is on the starboard side, with a bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and a private cinema room. Guests accommodation is located on the lower deck, and comprises of 2 double and 2 twin rooms. Smooth can also carry a crew of 14.
A large beach club situated not he aft provides a luxury experience for the guests lounging, enjoying a swim or doing waterspouts. The tender garage is located forward on the same deck and hosts a 27ft tender, diving gear, Sea-Doos, canoes and various other superyacht toys.
Some impressive features of Smooth include a large sundeck with Jacuzzi and sunbathing area, dance floor, a bar, a gymnasium, alfresco seating area and an incredible salon with dining area.
Currently Nick Mezas Design is busy working on a number of great project. The company has recently moved to their new office in office in The Hague.
