NISI Yachts have been nominated for the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2014, with their 1700 XPRESSO yacht. Luxury motor yacht 1700 XPRESSO demonstrates exceptional performance, styling, as well as speed expectations for a 60-foot flybridge cruiser.
Luxury yacht NISI 1700 is a shining example of innovation at it’s best and is the first model to be released in NISI’s XPRESSO series (the 5th model for the company). Recent sea-trials yielded 41-knot top and 33-knot cruise speeds. This design boasts extensive use of carbon fiber, kevlar and advanced acoustic insolation. The NISI 1700 exceeds the highest quality, safety and comfort standards for a yacht in this class.
The NISI 1700 yacht is an instant modern classic that exudes charm. Beneath the surface, boasts today’s state-of-the-art technology, combining outstanding performance with luxury and comfort. Handling is fused with powerful lines — a plumb bow, sparkling stainless steel stanchions and rugged lifelines, crowned by a command deck atop the covered wheelhouse. Enticing features cloak 21st century engineering — the wave-piercing hull, pod propulsion, stabilizers, and the cutting-edge electronics complement casual opulence and legendary styling at its best.
The NISI 1700 yacht’s most talked-about design element is, “the experience of discovering the perfect beach club”, inspires new interior styles that have awakened a new mindset amongst yacht owners. Casual opulence is delivered with a stylish layout arrangement that highlights NISI’s trademark fusion of indoor and outdoor spaces. Vanishing salon doors blend the aft deck with the main deck, sacrificing neither space nor comfort. Teak hardwood floors running the entire length of the main deck complement this ingenious design, which also features three spacious staterooms to accommodate five guests, a separate dedicated pantry area, and a secure, cozy flybridge with excellent sight lines in every direction. Without a doubt the best built yacht in this class, the 1700 has established a following by those who desire exclusivity and a unique yachting experience.
The design was done in collaboration with world renowned firm Setzer Yacht Architects: “The design process for the XPRESSO 1700 resembled that of an aircraft more than a yacht, and in many ways beyond just jet propulsion,” says Ward Setzer, Designer and Naval Architect. “Like an airplane fuselage, we wanted a light-weight hull shell with sufficient stiffness to safely sustain loads at high-speeds without sacrificing too much vital space for interior accommodations.” Setzer noted that meticulous weight tracking and careful ergonomic planning were keys to meeting these goals. “The end result,” says Setzer, “is an ultra-modern, plumb bow cruiser that is spacious enough to provide the sensation of a larger vessel, yet responsive enough to perform like a nimble express yacht.”
