NISI Yachts has been selected as a finalist for “Best Builder” and the yard’s 2400GT yacht model as “Best Yacht of the Year” for the prominent BMW Asia Boating Awards 2013.

The ninth annual awards show will be hosted by Asia-Pacific Boating / China Boating and official title sponsor BMW. The gala evening will celebrate the accomplishments of individuals, clubs and companies.

NISI’s 2400GT superyacht model was outfitted with only two Volvo IPS 1200 propulsion pods to deliver performance approaching 30 knots. Other features included a highly automated hydraulic carbon-fiber folding mast, with single-button operation, that lowers the owner’s radars and satellite domes in under 10 seconds to clear low-lying bridges, extensive iPad/iPhone control of nearly all the ship’s electrical and entertainment systems, and advanced vibration and acoustic dampening systems to deliver a whisper-quiet ride that reduces salon sound levels to less than 65db.
