Nordhavn has revealed more details about the latest addition to its range of expedition yachts, the 24m/80ft all-GRP displacement explorer yacht known as the Nordhavn 80.
The compact explorer yacht has much of the same styling of larger sisters M/Y LACEY KAY (2016) and M/Y VIVIERAE (2017), both Nordhavn 96 hulls.
The accommodation sleeps up to eight guests across four cabins: 1 Master suite, 2 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. The crew quarters located on the lower deck aft sleeps two.
The main deck contains a salon with two large sofas and two armchairs with a 42-inch plasma screen television which acts as a partition between the salon and the forward formal dining area. On the main deck aft, the seating and table serve as a place to dine alfresco sheltered from the sunshine with the convenience of accessing the swim platform via two stern staircases.
The upper deck contains a skylounge to add a second area to entertain with games at the table or seated on the sofa. Outside, the aft has room for two Nautica RIB tenders and the owner has the option of adding a spa pool with sunpads.
Twin 375hp John Deere 6090SFM85 diesel engines with a 18,000 litre fuel capacity ensure that she is a true explorer yacht, capable of reaching and returning from far-flung regions.
The fourth and fifth hulls of the Nordhavn 96 series are due to launch in 2017 and 2019 respectively, with the Nordhavn 80 also due to launch in 2019 from the facilities in Xiamen, China.
