The latest yacht in the Nordhavn 96 series, HULL 9615, has been launched and christened SERENITY. Built at the Xiamen shipyard, 30.5m/100ft luxury yacht SERENITY is built with a GRP hull and superstructure. To accommodate her owner’s sportsfisherman hobby, the cockpit has been extended by 1.2m/3.9ft to offer 8.7m/28.5ft extra space more than previous hulls in the series: M/Y LACEY KAY, VIVIERAE and MACGUFFIN.
Her hull paintwork is blue with a red waterline and a white superstructure. Her interior design was completed by Destry Darr Designs using timeless styling updated to contemporary tastes using rare stones, walnut panelling and furnishings with accents in stainless steel.
Guests are accommodated over five cabins and up to four crew will ensure smooth performance while on board.
Twin Caterpillar C18 ACERT engines, each producing 454 HP, allow superyacht SERENITY to reach a top speed of 12 knots and while cruising at 9 knots, she has a range of 3,000 nautical miles using 26,000 litres.
Motor yacht SERENITY is due for delivery in March following her sea trials. The shipyard is currently in construction of the fifth hull in in the Nordhavn 96 series, which is due for completion in 2019.
