At the ceremony celebrating the launch will be the Honorable Dean Maxwell, mayor of Anacortes, along with other leaders of the community, and Northern Marine’s very proud employees. After the formal christening of expedition yacht Aquila, remarks will be given by Mayor Dean Maxwell and Andy McDonald of Northern Marine. A launch party will then start at 530pm.
Motor yacht Aquila is the first Northern Marine yacht designed to meet U.S. Coast Guard Subchapter T-class standards — with very strict regulations regarding design, functionality, operational efficiency and safety.
In Greek mythology, Aquila was the eagle that carried the thunderbolts for Zeus. But Nrthern Marine is planning for clear sunny skies when launching charter yacht Aquila (ex hull 6410).
