Numarine is dedicated to employing state of the art equipment and latest manufacturing methods available. That’s why the company chose Seakeeper Gyro Stabilization Systems for its new high-performance megayacht, the sleek Caramel 102′ RPH yacht. The craft will be exhibited and available for sea trials during the 2010 Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show from 8th to 13th September.
“The gyros are a compact, hi-tech solution for stabilization and do not interfere with the external lines of the hull, which the owner specifically requested,” said Numarine Naval Architect and Yacht Design Engineer Ä°stem Özden.
With aggressive shark-like features, the streamlined 102′ RPH Caramel superyacht offers a unique and dynamic style. Designed to navigate in any sea condition, the high-performance megayacht features twin CAT C32 1,825 hp engines and is capable of reaching speeds up to 30 knots.
Four internal, actively-controlled Seakeeper M7000 Gyros virtually eliminate boat rock and roll for superior onboard comfort. Delivering a powerful righting force, they provide unmatched stability while at anchor, zero and low speeds or underway.
“During sea trials, the gyros proved to be noticeably effective in multiple conditions,” said Özden. “Underway, the ride is smoother with less roll. When you turn them off, you immediately notice the difference. They’re so quiet. You can’t even tell they’re running unless you look at the control panel.”
Headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, Numarine builds performance yachts from 55′-102′. With uncompromising attention to detail and flawless craftsmanship, the company continues to impress the boating world with its innovative designs, technology and production quality.
“We made the best decision by choosing Seakeeper,” said Özden. “Even though I was excited when I first read about the technology, seeing it in action was even better. We’re looking forward to using the new M21000 gyro on a future project.”
The new Caramel 102′ motor yacht from Numarine will be on display in PAN134 at the Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show, September 8-13 at Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto in France. Seakeeper’s advanced gyro stabilization systems will be on display in booth TPA036.
Boat owners, builders and members of the media are also invited to experience the Seakeeper difference firsthand. Numarine is hosting a two-day sea trial event immediately following the show on September 15 and 16 at Old Port de St. Tropez. The motor yacht Caramel 102′ RPH will be berthed in front of the Café de Paris.
