The Classic range of expedition yachts built by Cantieri Navali Chioggia is expanding with a new model, the OCEAN KING 88. The 26-metre explorer yacht from the Italian shipyard was developed in conjunction with VYD Studio and has naval architecture from Studio Innave with an exterior design by Arch. Paolo Dose and interiors from Marco Garlant.
Making use of feedback from clients and owners, the new explorer yacht takes advantage of four decks to create numerous large interiors. With a GT of 238, the OCEAN KING 88 will have a heavy displacement double-bottomed Grade A steel hull and aluminium superstructure, designed for ocean crossings and accessing remote regions for extended periods of time.
The upper deck will be fitted with a spacious sky lounge that in turn connects to an aft dining area. A 6m/19.7ft tender and water toys will be stored securely on the deck and launched and retrieved using a Davit crane.
The flybridge above will cater to outdoor entertaining with plenty of seating for relaxation and alfresco dining, while also providing a large rear cockpit where guests can take in the sunshine.
A stern tender garage can be turned into a dive centre, storage for water toys and fishing equipment or used as a beach club.
The guest accommodation sleeps a maximum of 10 guests over five staterooms, including a full 7.5m/24.6ft full-beam Master suite positioned on the main deck forward. Crew accommodation sleeps four on the lower deck and the Captain’s cabin will be placed behind the wheelhouse on the upper deck.
At an economical speed of 8 knots, the OCEAN KING 88 expedition yacht is capable of an outstanding range of 8,000 nautical miles, making her a true explorer with all the modern comforts for relaxation.
