The latest 109m/357ft Oceanco mega yacht Y720 has begun outfitting at the recently acquired construction and refit facilities in Alblasserdam.
Her naval architecture comes from Lateral Naval Architects, with cohesive interior and exterior design by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Classical elements are joined by the best of contemporary styling and technology: Her main deck, bridge deck and upper deck are all surrounded by glass for exceptional views and a greater sense of connection to the native environment. Within, there is an advanced propulsion system developed by Lateral Naval Architects in collaboration with Oceanco.
The shipyard is also advancing its policy of becoming one of the world’s most sustainable, eco-conscious shipyards: The newly refitted outfitting facilities boast cutting-edge technology and ecological benefits, such as the use of heat pumps to reduce the building’s gas consumption by up to 50%. The rooftop solar panels will also generate approximately 250,000 kWh of energy a year.
Oceanco’s largest dry dock can accommodate vessels up to 140m/459ft in length, while the newly renovated facilities now have an increased capacity for yachts up to 120m/393ft in length.
