Luxury yacht builder Oceanco is proud to announce that its latest launch, the beautiful 85.60m mega yacht St Princess Olga (Y708), won the prestigious award for “Best Yacht Design over 50 metres” at the 2013 World Yacht Trophies. Y708 St Princess Olga yacht was delivered in early 2013 after a successful collaboration between Imperial Yachts – Y708 project manager and owner’s representative – and Oceanco.
The prestigious awards ceremony, organised by LuxMedia Group, took place on Saturday, September 14 at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes. Following the gala dinner and announcement of the winners, an impressive parade of award-winning yachts motored by the beachside venue.
Moscow-based designer Igor Lobanov, who is responsible for the St Princess Olga’s distinctive and elegant exterior design, also received the award for the “Best Designer of the Year.”
Y708 luxury yacht St Princess Olga, which is a substantially voluminous yacht, was designed by Lobanov to appear light and airy. The extended aft deck area provides generous space for entertaining and relaxation with an impressive 6.4 x 3.6 metre swimming pool that can convert into a helicopter platform; as well the loose deck furniture allows for flexible layout arrangements. St Princess Olga yacht also features a massive garage capable of carrying two large tenders, a 6m-ski boat, as well water toys and the technical support equipment needed to launch them.
This latest award by World Yacht Trophies is the third one received by Oceanco. In 2007 and 2008, the 82m Alfa Nero and 75.5m Anastasia respectively won prizes in the “Most Innovative Yacht over 40 meters” category.
