Last December saw Oceania Marine’s yacht liaison Jim Loynes participate in the Antigua Charter Yacht Show. Although this was the first time the NZ company has been represented there, it would appear to have been a huge success and Oceania Marine will definitely participate again in the future.
Having been to Antigua many times during his yachting career Jim said: “It was a nice opportunity to catch up with old friends and also make some good new contacts in the industry. It was a very good show and a good chance to introduce myself and Oceania Marine directly to yachts that are heading in our direction over the next year or so. I will be in touch with them again over the coming months and we will be there to assist them during their time in NZ should they be in need of shipyard facilities.”
The show is early in the Caribbean season and is a charter show so several private yachts would not have arrived at the time of the show. Accordingly Jim states: “If any vessels we missed are heading across the Pacific we are always glad to hear from them and to discuss their particular plans and requirements.”
