Following her extremely busy summer cruising up the coast on an U.S. East Coast Tour, the all-new E78 yacht by Horizon Yachts is currently being displayed at the 2015 Newport International Boat Show in Rhode Island, showcasing her extremely unique feature: a hydraulic hardtop and radar mast. Luxury motor yacht E78 will be on display with Horizon Yacht USA at the Bannister’s Wharf Fuel Dock until September 20, 2015.
“Although she’s enjoyed a wonderful tour, the Horizon E78’s exhibition at the Newport Show marks her official industry debut,” comments Roger Sowerbutts of Horizon Yacht USA. “We are very excited to display the numerous features on board that make her a true North and South motoryacht…her hard top will definitely be the talk of the show.”
Developed by the yard’s in-house naval architects and engineers, the hydraulic hard top and radar mast of luxury yacht E78 lowers the overall height of the yacht from 28’11” to 20’5”. Moreover, the radar mast can also be folded down separate of the hardtop, if needed. This innovative design allows the E78 to cruise under fixed-height bridges, which previously wouldn’t be possible due to the yacht’s size.
Featuring a three-stateroom en-suite layout, the E78 yacht can comfortably sleep six guests across a full-beam, King Master stateroom, Queen VIP stateroom in the bow, as well as twin guest stateroom to starboard. Separate crew quarters for a crew of 3 members can be found aft of the engines, with access provided from an exterior stairwell near the port aft deck and from the swim platform.
Flexibility, while piloting, represents another remarkable feature on motor yacht E78, as she offers a full helm on the flybridge as well as a lower pilothouse forward of the galley. The vessel is run by twin CAT C32 1600Hp engines, and is fitted with zero speed stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters, Hamann sanitary treatment system, and more.
