Four years after delivery of luxury yacht ‘Africa’, Sunrise Yachts are proud to announce the completion of a sister ship, the 45-metre motor yacht Project ‘Sunset’ (hull 182) for a new owner, who contacted the builder directly. Superyacht Project Sunset had been started by Sunrise Yachts up to the stage of interior outfitting – hence offering a shorter delivery time, while providing the client with a customized interior.
The Sunrise 45m yacht Project Sunset is a three-deck, deep-sea, full displacement, long-range, steel hull and aluminium superstructure luxury motor yacht, built to operate for private use or charter in all seas and oceans of the world. The yacht’s main characteristics include large volumes at 499 Gross Tons, excellent deck heights, great stability, comfort and seaworthiness, very low levels of sound and vibration, an affective layout, and extreme fuel efficiency.
A full-length technical tunnel running from the engine room to the bow-thruster compartment – an unprecedented feature on yachts in this category – provides easy access to tanks and systems at bilge deck level.
The interior design is entrusted to the talent of Nantes-based Franck Darnet Design, who had previously designed the interior for M/Y “Africa”. In sharp contrast with the first Sunrise 45m’s dark tropical woods, Project “Sunset”’s contemporary and elegant décor will feature light veneers and a bright colour scheme.
Guillaume Roché, the Sunrise Yachts CEO, stated: “Just like M/Y “Africa” was one of the “star” yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show 2009, we intend to make Project “Sunset” one of the most notable yachts delivered next year worldwide. We will further demonstrate our commitment to excellence and to continually improving our standards while remaining a competitive alternative to quality European builders.”
The client, who wishes to remain private, shared his thoughts about the shipyard: “When I considered this acquisition, after doing extensive research on the market, I was a little nervous about entrusting a relatively new builder, in Turkey, with my first yacht project. I had to meet the entire team and to see the shipyard for myself. I have to say that neither myself nor my consultants were expecting to see such a large and modern facility, integrating a full engineering office and filled with new construction projects. What impressed me the most is the spirit of genuine love for their craft that pervades the team. I encourage every prospective yacht owner to meet the Sunrise management. I know I am getting a great yacht at great value.”
Luxury yacht Project Sunset will be delivered in July 2014 and showcased, by appointment only, at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2014 and at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October 2014.
Sunrise Yachts wishes to thank all those who helped in promoting the Project Sunrise yacht.
