Overmarine has announced the delivery of the fourth Mangusta 94 motor yacht, which took place at the company’s warf in Viareggio, Italy. The Owners, the Balducci family – founder and owner of the company, and all involved in the design and building process of this one-of-a-kind Maxi Open vessel were present at the yard this morning.
Mangusta 94 represents the very first new Maxi Open Mandusta model introduced to the market a couple of years ago. Boasting unique and sporty external lines, the yacht can be described as timeless and contemporary at the same time.
Her newest features are those found on yachts of larger size: the bow cockpit in addition to the sunbathing area, larger stern swimming platform and the liveable sun deck. This version of Mangusta 94 was designed for the American market, and boasts a driving station on the sun deck.
There is a great flow between the exterior and interior areas thanks to the new glazing for the saloon, that consists of single pane of glass, and the window at the height of the Onwer area, that allows plenty of natural light to penetrate inside as well as offers fabulous views of the yacht’s surroundings.
Several technical innovations are also present: 2600hp engines are supplied as standard, the same propulsion system as that used on larger models and installation of a Zero Speed gyroscopic stabiliser, both at anchor and underway, which add to the onboard comfort. It is now possible to cruise at low speed of 10 knots, at low consumption and elevated levels of comfort.
The wheelhouse boasts new revolutionary electronics with joystick allowing for easy handling of the vessel and cruising up to full speed in a single touch. She also features dynamic positioning, which is a cutting-edge technology capable of keeping the yacht in a selected GPS position overcoming the tide effect, wind and stream, by efficiently combining direction and thrust.
The superyacht’s interiors are entirely custom designed, with thigh levels of personalisation. In fact, her American owner requested a configuration which very much reflects the way yachts are used in the US: emphasising practicality. This includes features such as the bar-kitchenette on the main deck and the internal stairway to access the flybridge.
