By achieving an active role in the direct sales as well as promotion of its range, the Overmarine Group – a world renowned manufacturer of fast luxury Maxi-Open Yachts since 1985 – working with the well known brand Mangusta, has decided two years ago to completely change its approach to the market.
New strategic steps was then undertaken: a new communication strategy has been adopted to strengthen the Overmarine Group | Mangusta brand awareness and positioning and a new commercial strategy has been developed with a selection of strategic offices and partners in the strategic areas.
New investments were also done in the Mangusta range introducing new technical and aesthetic improvements, though maintaining the Mangusta timeless design, and presenting new models, currently under construction: the brand new motor yacht Mangusta 110, the Mangusta Oceano 148 superyacht, the new tri-deck displacement yacht, and the Mangusta 205 superyacht, a project for a new Mega-Open yacht.
As integral part of this strategy, Overmarine Group is completing a new facility in Pisa.
The new plants are located in the new yachting area of Darsena Pisana (Pisa wet dock), just 5min from the airport, making it easy for customers to visit.
They extend on a total area of 22,000 sqm of which 9,000 sqm are covered. The construction hall is 20-m height and is divided into four bays allowing the simultaneous construction of megayachts up to 70 metres. The facilities are served by a wharf on the canal that runs directly to the sea.
All the area is perfectly equipped with bridge cranes, aerial work platforms, suction systems, well-equipped metal carpentry and joinery departments and a travel lift for launching.
A real state-of-the art structure that allows Overmarine Group to extend its build length and enter the mega-yacht market. This purpose-design construction area in Pisa is to be used for a new generation of steel & aluminium motoryachts.
As soon as the premises are operational, Overmarine Group will start the production of the new Mangusta 205 superyacht.
