Saturday morning, June 22, 2013, saw the launch of the second motor yacht Mangusta 94. Superyacht Mangusta 94#02 hit the water at the prominent Italian shipyard, Overmarine Group, just a little over 3 weeks after the launch of luxury yacht Mangusta 94#01.
The Owner decided on a private ceremony, with the traditional breaking of the bottle, which the shipyard management and all those who worked passionately to build and fit out the Mangusta 94#02 yacht over the past few months attended.
“Today’s launch and the delight of the Owner,” commented CEO Maurizio Balducci, “are a source of great pride for us all, living proof of the shipyard’s ability to develop unique, highly advanced products. This yacht is the perfect expression of both the distinctive values of the brand, such as passion, innovation, performance, space, comfort, design, class and those of the client, namely exclusiveness, uniqueness and custom-built interiors.”
Second superyacht Mangusta 94 is a new model which continues the Mangusta tradition, of which she has maintained the racy, sporty lines and same aesthetic language, but been enriched with new features that allow for even greater usability of the external areas, which can be found on the larger models.
The size of superyacht Mangusta 94#02, just under 30 metres in length, is real and clear from the on-board volumes: spacious areas at bow where, besides the sundeck, there is a dining area with a table and divan; an extended swim platform astern; and a sundeck with large cushions for relaxing in completely privacy. This is also clear from the practicability of the space, the large deckhouse, side corridors, guest cabins and service areas such as the large galley and crew area.
This model also features technical innovations: standard 2600HP engines, the same propulsion package as on larger models, installation of gyroscopic stabilizers.
Primary importance has been given to natural light on-board. The second Mangusta 94 yacht features large windows and four skylights in the ceiling of the main salon, with an on/off system to darken the room. There is also the large window in the Owner area of the hull, which features two portholes that can be opened. These side windows will also be found on all future Mangusta models.
The interior design, a result of the perfect harmony between the Owner’s wishes and skill of the Overmarine Group Design Office, is both modern, topical and contemporary and features highly sought-after materials: all areas are fitted out with wengé, oak decapé and white leather on the ceiling. The salon on the main deck features large fabric divans and a design-style TV. On the lower deck there are a small private salon with an adjoining office area and 3 comfortable cabins, namely a suite for the Owner and VIP and twin cabins, all large and with high ceilings, as characteristics of all Mangusta models.
Official presentation of this model will take place in September at the Cannes International Boat Show and Monaco Yacht Show.
