Overmarine Group | Mangusta, well known all over the world as being a leader in the Maxi Open yachts segment owing to the range and performance of its models, will participate in the inaugural Qatar International Boat Show, running from November 12 – 16, 2013. The company will have a stand in the luxury shipyards area and will be showcasing the current flagship of its fleet, Mangusta 165 yacht.
Participation at this boat show consolidates the policy of investments, innovation, extension of the range that the Overmarine Group is currently pursuing, as well as developing its presence on new markets.
“We believe strongly in this first edition,” declared Francesco Frediani, the Group’s Sales Director. “Today, thanks to the incredible development of marinas and tourist ports and its high concentration of wealth, Qatar is a strategic pole for luxury yachting and hence our Group.” He went on to add, “We must not forget that the Mangusta brand is very well known in this area, where we have had considerable sales success. Indeed, the Mangusta 165 on show here is usually proudly displayed in these waters”.
Motor yacht Mangusta 165 will be the largest yacht at the show. With a speed of 40 knots, this model is currently the fastest maxi open yacht in the world. A model that continues to give the Overmarine Group enormous satisfaction, as the 7 yachts delivered since 2007 and a further two currently being built for delivery in 2014 prove.
Designed by Stefano Righini in association with the Overmarine Group team, superyacht Mangusta 165 perfectly represents the Mangusta style: a pure balance of shape, clean lines and a sporty profile together with comfort and volume comparable to a three deck yacht of the same size. This is entirely unimaginable from the outside owing to the sporty lines.
On board, the 5 cabin layout is the result of the the Overmarine Group Design Department perfectly interpreting the Owner’s requests. The design of the interiors is clean: thanks to the decorative wealth of ebony, Tanganyika wood and leather, creating a unique, contemporary style. The VIP cabin is unusual, being the same size as the Owner cabin.
The external areas are ideal for when the owner and his family want to relax, and the large flybridge also houses a second helm station.
The boat show will also provide an opportunity for presenting this market with the latest project of the Mangusta Oceano displacement line: a 42 metre yacht in steel and aluminium. The project bears the signature of designer Alberto Mancini, who actually began his working relationship with Overmarine Group | Mangusta for the displacement line with luxury yacht Mangusta Oceano 42.
A careful study of light has been made on board Mangusta Oceano 42 yacht, and she features a new concept which provides for two innovative areas: at bow on the upper deck there is a swimming-pool and infinity effect waterfall and astern there is a hatch which opens onto the sea and features a furnished beach area.
The interiors have been designed to accommodate up to twelve guests and seven crew members in total privacy, ensuring maximum freedom of movement.
