Henk Koster, designer and owner of motor yacht Grace, thanked the Piet Brouwer team for its activities on board his vessel. Superyacht Grace has recently undergone a class survey with Bureau Veritas.
Henk Koster thanked the Piet Brouwer team by sending the following message: “We sail Grace in northern waters, mostly along the Arctic coast of Norway. She was completed in 2004, and in May this year we were up for a major Class Renewal inspection by Bureau Veritas. Such inspections are truly wide-ranging.
Ours included the checking of propeller shafts and the thickness of the hull. All machinery, all radio equipment and the entire electrical system were tested; every part, every fuse and every switch in the electrical system were examined.
And now the reason for my writing: these very experienced people, who do little else than test boats all year through, told me that they always find something wrong during their inspections. While checking Grace, however, for the first time in their careers they could not find a single flaw. Grace had passed every test with flying colours!
This says something about our standard of maintenance, sure – but where the electrical system is concerned, it is mainly thanks to the technicians from Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology, who originally installed the system in Enkhuizen and Urk with such great care. I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who helped make this happen.”
Reports like these truly make Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology proud.
