This month’s boat shows see the launch of the first sailing yacht Oyster 725 as well as the Oyster 885 superyacht by the prominent UK builder, Oyster Yachts. Oyster 725 yacht is making her premiere at the HISWA Amsterdam on-water Boat Show and will be also showcased at the Southampton Boat Show, starting on 14th September. Although not exhibited at Southampton, the highly anticipated Oyster 885 yacht will be seen sailing past the show during the first few days.
Both yachts are equipped with full Lewmar packages including winches, hardware, thrusters, windlasses, hydraulic power-packs and mechanical steering systems, along with Navtec rigging and hydraulic vangs and cylinders.
The 885 yacht is the largest Oyster built in the UK to date and incorporates Superyacht technology, such as a Lewmar CW3500 captive reel winch for the mainsheet. On 725-01 yacht, the sail control hydraulics are powered via the main power-pack, a feature normally found only on larger vessels. This enables stress-free and simple adjustment of the Navtec sail control functions.
