In the recent positive articles in the local and national press writing about Oyster‘s expansion in its Norfolk boat-building operation, the production plans for the Oyster Superyachts by Dubois, Oyster 100 as well as Oyster 125, were wrongly reported. These yachts are part of an on-going joint venture with RMK Marine in Turkey, where the tooling continues to lie. Oyster has constructed three spectacular vessels over the past few years, the two Oyster 100’s, sailing yacht Sarafin and Penelope yacht, as well as the first Oyster 125 superyacht Twilight. The company has no intention to construct the Oyster 100 and 125 in its Southampton yard.
Twilight yacht and superyacht Penelope will both be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
Oyster’s custom and refit yard in Southampton continues to focus on the successful Oyster 825 yacht and Oyster 885 yacht and its long standing service of refit, maintenance and restoration of a wide range of modern and classic yachts.
