Oyster’s Jubilee Regatta, the 25th in the Oyster Regatta series, started today, the 21st September 2010 in Sardinia. Hosted by the prestigious Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS) in Porto Cervo, owners, guests and crew from a fantastic fleet of Oysters can look forward to a programme of five days of parties and social events combined with four days of racing in the azure waters off this beautiful island.

Oyster owners have already received a very warm welcome from YCCS Commodore Riccardo Bonadeo who has invited owners, guests and crew to enjoy the club’s hospitality and facilities during their stay. During the week the Oyster fleet will overnight at Yacht Club Porto Rotondo where a gala dinner is being hosted by the club.
Proving that it doesn’t matter what size or age your Oyster is to take part in an Oyster event, the 30-strong Oyster fleet includes the locally owned and Sardinian based 25-year old Oyster Heritage 37, Andrea, along with some of the newest Oysters afloat, including two new Oyster 575s, a fleet of six Oyster 72s, which includes Alberto Vignatelli’s brand new 72, AlbertOne 3, and the stunning Oyster 82 custom built Starry Night of the Caribbean, launched earlier this summer and already taking part in her second Oyster event.

Oyster’s in-house service team arrived in Sardinia a week before the start of the event to provide owners with technical support ahead of the regatta. This complimentary service, available to all owners, irrespective of the age or size of their Oyster at all Oyster events, is a much valued benefit of Oyster ownership and really puts Oyster in a class of its own.
