Sailing Catamaran HAVANA 72 yacht is the first model of the Havana series built by Alu Marine, with the interior and exterior design by Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design. ALU MARINE shipyard has specialized in the construction of aluminum boats for more than 20 years with a long experience of large luxury yachts. Douce France, the biggest sailing catamaran in the world, at 138 feet is the symbolic icon of the shipyard. Ocean Independence has issued a press release advising the Greece motor charter yacht SEAWISE has been withdrawn from the charter market. They are sad to report the total loss of the yacht due to a fire on board. Fortunately nobody was either hurt or injured. ... read full story

The British Marine Federation (BMF) and the RYA were delighted to be among the first organisations to host a reception in the House of Commons early in the new Parliament yesterday (23 June 2010). It was an opportunity to meet some of the newly elected MPs as well as to thank re-elected parliamentarians for their support throughout the year.
