The second motor yacht in the Palmer Johnson 170 series is currently in build and progressing well at the Palmer Johnson yard with an expected delivery in June 2011. The new PJ 170 motor yacht measures 52.20m (171′) in length and combines strong lines with sleek sophistication.
The design of the 2nd PJ 170 motor yacht is by Nuvolari & Lenard who have worked with Palmer Johnson numerous times. The innovative PJ 170 superyacht retains the instantly recognisable identity of the first 120 semi-custom built yacht, although the stylistic refinements and modern technology raise the bar. The 170 takes the concept to a much larger size and level and features a much straighter knife-like bow profile.
The 52.20-meter sports yacht will be able to accommodate up to 12 guests in five luxurious staterooms and there will be 5 cabins allocated to the crew members. The second PJ170 –PJ502 will be classed to Lloyd’s and MCA compliant. The sports yacht will feature twin MTU 2,565 hp marine engines with a range of approximately 2,500 nautical miles.
The Palmer Johnson PJ 170 PJ-502 superyacht is the second of three PJ 170 sports yachts to be built. The first yacht of the Palmer Johnson 170 series (PJ 501) was launched in July 2010. Delivery of the second Palmer Johnson 170 motor yacht (PJ 502) is expected in June 2011.
