Palumbo Superyachts, part of the Palumbo Group has announced the sale of a new 50m/164ft Columbus S50 luxury yacht to a repeat client, with exteriors and interiors to be completed by Luca Dini. Built with an aluminium hull and superstructure, she has a beam of 9.15m/30ft and a gross tonnage of 499 GT.
The exterior features a sporty and modern hull and uses well-balanced proportions. Both the main deck and flybridge have a seamless band of windows to meet the Owner’s desire for naturally bright interiors, and the gunwales have been developed in such a way as to allow panoramic sea views close to the edge. Strong clean lines and a stark white hull and superstructure give the S50 an impressive and imposing figure that will fit right in with other cutting edge motor yachts launched in recent years.
The accommodation sleeps up to 11 guests across five cabins, while a crew of 11 are accommodated over five cabins. Pair of MTU engines, each producing 2,000 HP allows for a cruising speed of 1 knots and a top speed of 20 knots.
The shipyard is also constructing an ISA Alloy 43m/141ft superyacht, which will also feature the styling of Luca Dini. Construction of the new Columbus S50 is due to begin shortly for a delivery in the summer of 2020.
