Motor Yacht Eendracht is a expeditionary style motor yacht available for charter to explore Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, Papua New Guinea and surrounds.Eendracht was designed to be able to access and operate in remote locations.
Yacht Eendracht was launched in July 2008 and spent the next two months exploring the vast coastline of Northern Australia and the Great Barrier Reef on route to Cairns in Northern Queensland.
She is a expeditionary style motor yacht launched in July 2008 by one of Australia’s premier shipyards. Eendracht’s owner, a highly experienced ship builder himself, wanted a vessel capable of operating in Australia’s remote coastal areas and the South Pacific in safety and comfort.
The yacht’s equipment features a high degree of double redundancy to reduce the likely-hood of an equipment failure causing a trip to be cancelled or shortened. At 36 meters in length yacht Eendracht is large enough to provide the luxury space and safety for you to enjoy your holiday but is small enough to anchor in secluded bays and enter tidal rivers.
She is equipped with two rigid hull tenders, one of 6.3 meters and the other of 3.8 meters in length. Snorkelling and dive equipment is carried on board as is a range of fishing equipment. Eendracht is crewed by up to six experienced staff. The onboard chef will cater to your special dietary requirements.
Accommodation
Motor yacht Eendracht can accommodate up to 8 guests in one double master Stateroom and three double VIP cabins.
Each passenger cabin features an en-suite bathroom, is individually air conditioned, has a LCD TV with Sony DVD CD & MP3 compatible player, a writing desk for your convenience and a telephone for internal or external calls. All areas on the vessel are serviced by a WIFI system if you need to bring your laptop with you.
A spacious lounge and dining area, shaded alfresco deck, forward sun pad and aft shaded spa area offer space and privacy for relaxing between diving, snorkelling and shore visits.
Yacht Charters in the Great Barrier Reef & Cairns
Eendracht is based in Cairns on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef. Charters are customised to your requirements. Your adventure can include scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, visiting remote islands to see nesting turtles (in season) and view Aboriginal art sites and walking on untouched sandy beaches and cays. Eendracht can also offer the adventurous charterer the option of being involved in conducting marine research programs like shark tagging and tracking and Minke Whale tracking(in season). A marine researcher would accompany these charters which take place on the Great Barrier Reef north of Cairns.
Between October to December 2010 Eendracht will be visiting the Milne Bay area, D’Entrecasteaux Islands, Trobriand Islands, Woodlark Islands and the Louisiade Archipelago in the Milne Bay Province of Papua New Guinea. These areas offer a unique mixture of scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing, spectacular island scenery as well as exotic cultural experiences. The Milne Bay Province (MBP) is easy to access with daily direct flights from Port Moresby to Gurney airport in Alotau the provincial capital of MBP. The area is known for its remoteness and friendly inhabitants.
PNG is often described as ‘the land of adventure’ and has the reputation of being one of the most exiting countries in the world to explore. Eendracht can offer you and your guests an itinerary to sample the best on offer from the coastal areas and remote islands of Milne Bay Province in eastern PNG where the spectacular scenery, clears waters and ideal cruising conditions are complimented by the friendly and welcoming inhabitants.
Papua New Guinea Yacht charters
Papua New Guinea is Australia’s closest neighbour and the two countries share a unique and close bond with Australia governing PNG until independence was gained in 1975. Papua New Guinea is spread over an area of approximately 2,400,000 square kilometres and incorporates about 600 islands. Although Eendracht could operate in any of the coastal provinces of PNG the vessel will be available in Milne Bay Province (MBP) due to the ease of access , safety and security offered and the diversity of the cultural experiences available and the area’s natural beauty.
Milne Bay Province incorporates Milne Bay (at the very eastern tip of mainland PNG) the D’Entrecasteaux Island Group, the Trobriand Island Group, the Woodlark Island Group and the Louisiade Archipelago as well as many smaller island groups some of which are inhabited and some not. MBP features ease of access for guests with international flights arriving regularly into Port Moresby met by daily domestic flights of about 50 minutes duration to Gurney Airport in Alotau, the provincial capital of MBP. Eendracht generally starts and finishes our cruises at the port of Alotau. The best cruising weather is experienced in MBP from October to December.
