UK luxury yacht builder, Oyster Yachts, is dedicated to offering the most advanced yacht ownership experience available and as such, the company has teamed up with MedAire to provide their owners with a comprehensive health and travel safety program as standard on all new yachts.
Each new Oyster yacht delivered from the beginning of 2014 will include a two-year membership entitlement to Oyster Elite, the traveller health programme from MedAire. The Oyster options list will be expanded to include an extensive range of quality medical kit systems appropriate for each yacht’s cruising plans. Owners, guests and crew will enjoy the certainty of premium 24/7 medical and travel safety assistance wherever they sail.
David Tydeman, Oyster Group Chief Executive Officer comments, “As part of our commitment we have also negotiated special membership rates for all yachts delivered prior to January 2014. We will be contacting owners in the coming months with regards to how to take up this subsidy offer.
“Our owners are adventurers, and Oyster Elite gives them the confidence to travel the world knowing the global MedAire network is available to assist with medical and travel safety advice, assistance, and referrals to quality health-care providers.
“In every corner of the sailing world, our owners can look to us for service and support, help and advice”.
MedAire is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist Oyster Elite members with medical and travel safety requests while at sea or in transit. Members also receive access to the MedAire global network of credentialed physicians, hospitals, clinics, dentists and dental clinics.
Oyster is pleased to extend the Oyster Elite membership programme to all existing Oyster owners at a preferred rate as part of the exclusive deal with MedAire. The full range of premium yachting medical kit systems will be available at preferential rates as well.
“We are delighted to lead the way by actively investing in the health and travel safety of anyone who sails on an Oyster yacht” says David Tydeman, “This commitment is one that we are proud to make and actively support.”
