Dixon Yacht Design has been responsible for the stunning range of Pearl Motor yachts since 2002; their latest creation, Pearl Motor Yachts new flagship, the Pearl 75 yacht, is due to be launched later this year.
The Pearl 75, as with all Dixon Yacht Designs, has many new features designed to considerably enhance the pleasure of ownership. Features that do not just relate to living on the boat but also, in these days of increasing fuel prices, to the vessels running costs.
The hull of the Pearl 75 motor yacht has exceptional interior space and provides excellent performance and manoeuvrability which maximises on the abilities of the ZF series 4000 pod drive propulsion system with which the yacht is fitted. The Pearl 75 is one of the first yachts to be specifically designed to use the ZF drives which are more efficient than conventional shaft drives and have several other advantages over them. In addition to manoeuvrability, they take up less space and thus provide the yacht with more usable cabin space; they also make it considerably easier for an owner to handle the yacht on his own, reducing the need for crew.
The Dixon team have made very good use of the hulls spacious interior which has many superb features. Motor yacht cabins can often be rather dark and lifeless areas but on the Pearl 75 the incorporation of large bonded glass port lights has transformed them into bright and welcoming spaces. The same degree of ‘light promotion’ has been built into the main living areas of the vessel with the saloon, galley and interior helm position all benefitting from the maximum use of glass which includes a windscreen which runs over into the roof.
‘Flexibility’, was the key word when it came to the design of the main living area. The whole main deck from the patio doors to the internal steering position can be a complete open plan area one minute, with the enormous feeling of space and light that gives. In a very short time however it can be converted into three distinct areas using a system of powered panels which create separate lounge, dining and ‘bridge’ areas. So flexible are these areas that they can be adjusted in size depending on the requirement of the day and the number of guests on board.
On deck of the 75ft flagship from Pearl Motor Yachts, the theme of flexibility continues with the enormous flybridge being a complete relaxation area in its own right. It comes fully equipped with barbecue, wet bar, ice maker and a mass of comfortable seating. For more private moments the foredeck has a comfortable seating area with its own powered bimini and the aft deck has all the space required for more traditional dining, ‘al fresco’.
As if all this was not enough the Pearl 75 also has a hydraulically operated bathing platform and jet ski garage again with a powered door. She is available with several layout and styling options, all created by the team at Dixon Yacht Design, and can sleep 8 in considerable comfort plus two crew.
