Pearl Motor Yachts will be participating in the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival 2014, running in the fantastic Mediterranean yacht charter destination – Cannes from September 9 to 14. The all-new Pearl 65 Flybridge yacht will be making her world premiere, alongside the award-winning motor yacht Pearl 75.
This special range of yachts has been built in a unique collaboration with award-winning naval architect Bill Dixon and celebrated interior designer, Kelly Hoppen MBE.
Since making its debut towards the end of 2012, the flagship Pearl 75 yacht has been awarded the Best Motor Yacht under 25M at the International Yacht and Aviation awards, and received outstanding test reports thanks to its exhilarating performance, luxury styling and exceptional levels of comfort.
The Pearl 65 yacht follows in the luxury yacht Pearl 75’s footsteps and has been designed by Bill Dixon with Kelly’s well known effortless, calm and elegant interior style – complete with four luxuriously appointed staterooms (with sleeping quarters for an additional two crew members), a unique open plan, inside/outside saloon – allowing for easy, every-day use and alfresco dining.
Both the Pearl 65 and Pearl 75 yachts feature pod-drive propulsion, incorporating joystick control technology offering the ability to operate the yacht without crew, if preferred.
Standard features of the Pearl fleet also include a hydraulically operated bathing platform, air conditioning, hydraulic passerelle, generator, and teak decking.
Iain Smallridge, managing director of Pearl Motor Yacht’s believes that the second in the series of yachts to be made in this special collaboration will make a real impact at this year’s Cannes Boat Show.
“The launch of the Pearl 75 exceeded all of our expectations, we were overwhelmed by the response we received – thanks to the unique elements both Bill Dixon and Kelly Hoppen bring to the Pearl range, and their drive for pioneering design excellence.
“This partnership has provided our customers with something that is totally unique – and has created a great deal of anticipation surrounding the launch of the Pearl 65.
“With its elegantly appointed design coupled with technological innovation, the all-new Pearl 65 promises to be another ground-breaking vessel.”
Powered by either triple Cummins Zeus 600hp, Twin Volvo IPS 800hp engines or twin Volvo D13 shaft drive, the yacht will have a fuel capacity of 770 Gallons (3,500 litres), reach a top speed of 32 knots and have a cruising range of 350 nautical miles.
