With two New Builds, a Ron Holland 150’ Sailing yacht Christopher and sailing yacht Barracuda 105 Sloop (B105), due to be handed over shortly and several refits already at the yard it is indicative that the market is still buoyant. Completion of the 44m catamaran Sailing Yacht Hemisphere
The luxury catamaran HEMISPHERE is the largest sailing catamaran in the world at 44m (145ft). Her huge size means she can afford every luxury as well as sail or motor at high speeds. Being a catamaran she is also very stable at sea. Yacht HEMISPHERE was begun in the USA by the Derecktor Shipyard New York and is being finished in England’s Pendennis Shipyard. She will be able to accommodate up to 12 charter guests in luxury in 4 double and 1 twin cabin.
Pendennis has also been busy with several refits including sailing yacht Rebecca who has already completed her set of short works. Sailing yacht Adela has returned for her 3rd refit, and Perini Navi sailing yacht Andromda La Dea, arrived at the Pendennis for her winter refit at the beginning of November for a refit that includes some cosmetic work including replacement of some teak deck areas and a full exterior re-paint. She will also undergo a detailed engineering overhaul, including servicing of her tanks, props and shafts, a structural survey and full service of all major systems on board – much of which is necessary for her 20 year ABS survey.
