Built by the prestigious UK manufacturer Pendennis, sailing yacht Christopher has been exploring the breath-taking Northern Europe yacht charter locations, following her participation in the 2014 Pendennis Cup in Falmouth, UK. After her visits to Ireland as well as Scandinavia, the majestic 46m superyacht Christopher has now traveled to London.
Luxury yacht Christopher had an adventurous journey up the Thames – with an air draft of just 54m under the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, Christopher cleared the central span which traverses the Thames at Dartford, by just centimetres after removing her lightening rod and burgee to pass through. Christopher’s main mast, at 53.4m tall, is the largest to ever pass under the bridge.
Ron Holland, the Christopher yacht’s designer when she was built at Pendennis is 2011, follows the yacht’s adventures with interest “It is a delight to see such beautiful yachts returning to the UK, and fantastic for the British superyacht industry that yachts such as Christopher are including the British Isles as part of their global voyage.”
