Italian shipyard Perini Navi has announced the launch of a 25.5m (83’66”) tender built for a 52m sailing yacht, mimicking the graceful looks of her ‘mothership. The new super tender is known as the ECO TENDER.
Constructed in accordance with feedback from Perini Navi Owners, the all-aluminium motor yacht has been designed with a flexible interior layout to accommodate single guests and children, as well as offering the potential to get close to the shore in a vessel more substantial than a tender. The ECO-TENDER can operate independently of the Owner’s 52m mother-ship while still offering the same high-quality build, performance and appearance.
The 4-mode hybrid propulsion has a diesel mode to reach speeds in excess of 30 knots, a hybrid mode, diesel-electric mode and a zero emissions mode. By making use of the battery bank, the ECO-TENDER can cruise through low-speed parks and environmentally sensitive regions without creating any discharge. Furthermore, all propulsion modes have a sound level below 55dB throughout the yacht, as contracted for the Owner.
ECO-TENDER is fitted with cutting-edge technology, including the I-Bridge ® Multitouch navigation system by Team Italia and Anchor Watching System (AWS) system with a 360° image around the boat while tracking traffic with the radar systems, thermal camera or searchlight.
Even when tens of miles apart from the mothership, ECO-TENDER can remain in contact using her double VSAT system for internet connection and three iridium telephones.
In terms of safety and security, the high hull bulwarks ensure that guests can step from one vessel to the other. An aft cockpit is furnished with a plush lounge, sunpads and a fixed swim platform, while forward there is a generous sunken dinette where guests can enjoy a sumptuous meal with panoramic views and the Owner can use the area outside of mealtimes for his hobby of nature photography.
The interiors from the in-house design team have creates a fresh and contemporary look using white teak and brushed lacquer joinery. On the main deck there is a combined salon and dining area with galley, and below deck the en-suite accommodation provides a full-beam VIP stateroom, a double cabin forward and a third cabin containing twin single beds, all with en-suite bathrooms. For privacy, the crew cabin is accessed separately through the bulkhead forward of the engine room.
M/Y ECO-TENDER and her propulsion system will undergo sea trials before her delivery to her Owner in April.
Perini Navi is also currently working on the 42m/127.8ft sailing yacht E-VOLUTION, which has entered the waters at the Tuzla facilities in Istanbul before making her way to the Viareggio facilities in a couple of weeks.
