Perini Navi has announced a new range of Falcon Rig sailing yachts to be designed and delivered in conjunction with Dykstra Naval Architects and Magma Structures in a joint venture, and a letter of intent has already been received for the first hull.
The Falcon Rig Gallery was inspired by modern legend S/Y MALTESE FALCON and is designed for aerodynamic efficiency and new generation winches that improve on operation and handling. Five sizes are available: 56m/183.7ft, 64m/209.9ft, 72m/236ft, 80m/262ft and 92m/301.8ft.
In addition to signature Perini Navi styling, the hull design features a cockpit and salon on the same floor, spacious alfresco living areas and a generous beach club.
The letter of intent was for the largest model and will be built with carbon fibre masts supporting a 2,400m2/25,833ft2 sail plan. The upper deck will host the Master suite and glass will be a key feature in the design due to the large windows and a central staircase spanning four decks.
Perini Navi has also received letters of intent for a 47m/154ft E-VOLUTION sailing yacht and a 74m/242.8ft motor yacht.
The shipyard also revealed its new 74m/242.8ft luxury yacht VANGUARD model designed by Horacio Bozzo and the Perini Navi/Ora Ito capsule collection that presents two new redesigns of the shipyard’s flagship 56m/183.7ft model.
