Perini Navi announces their calendar for 2010 international boat show season including such important events as the Monaco Yacht Show, Genoa International Boat Show, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
From September 22nd to 25th the appointment is at the Monaco Yacht Show. The Perini Navi Group will be exhibiting two yachts: the 56 meter aluminium Super Yacht Panthalassa and the first Picchiotti motoryacht delivered by the Perini Navi Group Motor Yacht Exuma.
Designed by Perini Navi’s in-house naval architects, led by Franco Romani, together with Ron Holland, Sailing Yacht Panthalassa features many important innovations in both naval architecture and interior design. Panthalassa yacht boasts an ultra-light streamlined aluminium hull with gross tonnage at 490T and maximum displacement optimized at 540 tons in order to guarantee both excellent sailing performances and extreme comfort. Perini Navi Group’s Mast Department constructed and engineered both aluminium masts, the 58.37m main mast and the 48.26m mizzen, in addition to the carbon fibre furling boom. Total sail area is expected to reach 1,500 m².
The aluminium superstructure design is totally new and marked by a more racy and aerodynamic line in comparison with the previous yachts of this series. The interiors, designed by Foster and Partners, are based on wellbeing and harmony. This is achieved in great part by the distribution of natural light into the yacht thanks to large sky lights. The entire concept of the renowned British designer may be characterized in the unique elliptical aerial central staircase. The lower deck is totally different from all the other 56m as the lay out does not include, a classic owner cabin, but instead has 6 similar size cabins for a maximum of 12 guests: 4 with queen-size beds and 2 twin bedded cabins that can be transformed into queen-size beds. Each cabin has a private bathroom and chaise lounge.
Picchiotti 50m Motor Yacht Exuma, is the first of three units sold as of today by the Perini Navi Group under the Picchiotti brand. The launch of Exuma MY took place July 3rd, 2010. This event sanctioned the Group’s entrance into the field of motor yachts and the new reorganisation of the Perini Navi Group’s italian shipyards with the change in the company name from Cantieri Navali Beconcini shipyard of La Spezia to Picchiotti. The new generation of Picchiotti Vitruvius®-series motor yachts, born from the collaboration between Vitruvius Ltd, Philippe Briand and the Perini Navi Group, is conceived with a focus on top efficiency for fully autonomous navigation. The aluminium hull is characterized by streamlined, slender traits and follows the principles of the BOS® Hull – Briand Optimized Stretched Hull – that allows for a gross tonnage of 497 tons, displacement of 400 tons, a reduced draught of 2.3 metres for navigating in shallow waters, and a range of 5,500 miles at 12 knots.
Luxury Super Yacht Exuma was conceived and created with a strong aptitude for exploration in mind, and has the capability of stowing large amounts of equipment on board to allow exploring the most beautiful and remote areas of the world. These include an amphibious 16.4 ft vehicle, completely customised with Iveco Campagnola mechanical components and frame, a Hov Pod 12 ft hovercraft housed inside the two fore lateral garages with gull-wing door openings, two tenders, respectively measuring 21 ft and 14 ft, two electric land scooters, two Seabobs and a Sea-Doo RXT 250 jet ski. The yacht is also equipped with diving areas and equipment. The interior and exterior spaces are designed to increase privacy among shipboard guests and to enhance outdoor living. Internal furnishings are designed by Perini Navi’s Interior Designers with a focus on classic maritime style tradition, essentially using oak, teak and Italian marble.

From October 2nd to 10th Perini Navi will be at the Genoa International Boat Show where we will exhibit Sailing Yacht Fivea, the 48th unit in the fleet, number three of the series and the third steel-hulled 45-Metre yacht to be launched by the Perini Navi Group.
Fivea yacht, the result of a collaboration between Perini Navi’s naval architects and Ron Holland, is the third steel-hulled 45-Metre yacht to be launched by the Perini Navi Group. She has two main differences in comparison with her sister-ships: Twin Engine CAT C18 Acert with central engine room and updated Aluminium superstructure design with improved aerodynamics.
SY Fivea’s Perini Navi-built aluminium mast rises over 51 metres above the waterline and carries a sail area of almost 1,200m2 which is handled by seven of Perini Navi’s captive reel winches. Perini Navi electric furlers handle the in-boom furling system that stores the main sail within the carbon fibre boom. The interior of Fivea, designed in-house by the Perini Navi Design Department, led by Bernardo Chichi is a pure classic. The owner and guest quarters, are particularly versatile in that each stateroom can be transformed into a variety of configurations.
At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2010, the world’s largest boat show, that will be held from October 28th to November 1st, Perini Navi will be presenting 64 meters ketch Felicità West sailing yacht, built in 2003, it’s the only one yacht of 64 meters be present in the Perini Navi’s fleet and for several years has held the scepter of the world’s largest yacht built entirely in aluminum. Felicità west sailing yacht has a gross tonnage over 500 tons, a cruising speed of 12 knots, maximum speed of 16 knots, with 5 cabins that can accommodate up to 12 guests.
