What was the inspiration behind the idea for Yacht Fitness?
The idea for Yacht Fitness came to me when I was working with one of my clients on her Yacht in Monaco. What kind of personal training services does Yacht Fitness offer to yacht charterers or private yachts?
With our professional team we are able to provide tailor made personal training programs to suit every client’s needs and can accommodate any request. To give you an example on a few services we offer, we provide Yoga, Pilates, meditation sessions mixed with weight training, functional training, Boxing, TRX workouts, running coaching, Tabata, HIIT training, Animal flow and sport specific training. Are there any fitness level requirements when it comes to your clients?
No, we cater for any Fitness level and every request we receive from clients. We are essentially here to help our clients to become fitter and healthier, even though we might not stay for longer durations, unless we receive the request to do so. We always give our clients the training programs we have designed especially for them after our departure.
How do you choose the right session for your clients?
When clients initially contacts us we send them a detailed questionnaire to establish all the specifics for the upcoming retreat. The questionnaire includes questions like number of guests, gender, age groups, previous training history, any medical history, any eventual injuries, what type of trainer they are looking for, training specifics, retreat duration, special requests and much more. Based on this information we can with confidence find the perfect professional for our clients and make sure the retreats will be structured to suit our clients wishes. We have regular communication with our clients throughout the whole retreat to ensure that our clients needs are being met. We also collect feedback after the retreats to make sure our clients are satisfied with our service.
Are there a minimum number of clients for any given session?
No, all our personal trainers are able to teach group sessions as well as individual sessions.
How long does a given training period last?
Clients chose how long they would like to book our services. We can stay with the clients a shorter period or a longer period depending on the clients wishes. We have a minimum period of three days.
What kind of equipment does the yacht have to have?
We either use the Yacht’s gym or we bring functional equipment with us. All personal trainers are able to provide various training sessions and take the clients through training sessions in any given location. We also train with clients on a nearby beach or at a local gym.
Do you have any recommendations when it comes to a training schedule for a yacht charter vacation in order for the yacht charter guests to stay fit, but at the same time enjoy the vacation and relax?
Yes I do, with our specialized Yacht Fitness programs a day could look like this: Morning starts with a detoxifying juice, after which we conduct a private or group Yoga class. Thereafter clients would indulge in a healthy delicious breakfast. In the afternoon we conduct a private or group Personal Training session and also a relaxation/ Meditation session. The day is completely designed to suit our clients specifications and wishes. We are very flexible to allow free time during the day/evenings to enable clients to enjoy other activities and fine dining. Our training programs are completely bespoke to each of the individuals on the Yacht, so no workout would look the same. We establish the training programs through detailed pre planning before conducting the retreats. Our mission is to provide a first class service of fitness and fun on the water. After our retreats the clients receive a copy of the training programs which they can use to continue their training after the retreat.
