Co-sponsored by Awlgrip, the recent 24th Pinmar Golf Tournament, The Pinmar, raised an amazing new record of €72,000 for its nominated charities, in spite of the most torrential downpours in Mallorca in recent memory that caused cancellation of part of the tournament for the first time in its history.

Once again hosted at the Son Gual Golf Course in Mallorca, The Pinmar brought together over 100 companies, 90 volunteers and 364 golfers for the annual tournament, which again culminated with the prize-giving dinner and Come Fly With Me Show followed by a spectacular new After Party. This year’s winner of the somewhat rain-curtailed tournament, in the ‘Best Yacht’ category, was ‘SY Pro-rigging’.
As well as the fantastic sums raised on the golf course, to which the 88 Friday afternoon players kindly donated their refunded green and buggy fees, the 826 guests at the prize-giving evening generously contributed a further €13,000, via a raffle, towards the final fundraising total.
Nick Entwisle, Company Secretary, Pinmar enthused: “We never imagined that we could surpass last year’s exceptional fundraising. I would like to thank all the golfers, guests, sponsors and volunteers for their fantastic support and generosity.”
The money raised will go to several charities, which include Yacht Aid Global, Allan Graham 4 Kidz in Mallorca, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Action Aid.
