Port Denia Shipyard has recently welcomed luxury yacht TURQUOISE, in order to bring her in tip top condition for her next superyacht charter season, boasting a brand new look and feel. Originally launched by Turquoise Yachts in 2011, the outstanding 55m motor yacht TURQUOISE will undergo her latest transformation and maintenance works, before heading back down to the fantastic Antigua yacht holiday location in the Caribbean at the beginning of December, just in time for the Christmas and New Year period. She is a perfect example of why Port Denia is an ideal, logistical location for superyachts to stop off on their way down to the Caribbean, either for the marina moorings and/or shipyard work.
Luxury superyacht TURQUOISE has just finished a complete change in hull colour. Instead of traditional paint, she has received a full vinyl hull wrap by Wild Group, a well known exterior & interior vinyl yacht finishing company, with the end result being a “gun metal grey” hull. The scaffolding is now coming off and she will be in the water over the next few days, when the engine work will start.
TURQUOISE yacht will also undergo a full service of her twin Caterpillar 3512B, 1500hp engines. Moreover, her 2 x 200kW Caterpillar C-9 generators will receive a complete overhaul. The exhaust system will be also serviced. At the same time, her Lloyds 5 Year Survey will be completed.
In addition, super yacht TURQUOISE will also have her two rudders replaced, while damage to the propellors will be repaired. Furthermore, the specialist team of Port Denia Shipyard will perform a full maintenance and polish of the vessel’s extensive teak decks.
Moreover, Port Denia Shipyard has also welcomed the beautiful 50m motor yacht LUMIERE. She will be at the yard for around 5 months to carry out a range of refit and maintenance works. More details about the refit of LUMIERE to be released soon.
