Preparations of the beautiful J Class superyacht LIONHEART for this year’s J-Class Regatta, set to run in Falmouth from June 23 to 27, are currently underway in the Carrick Roads. May 2015 saw the outstanding 39,96m sailing yacht LIONHEART complete her winter refit at Pendennis.
The refit of luxury yacht LIONHEART included her five-year survey programme and exterior paint. She was launched into Pendennis’ new 7,564m² enclosed non-tidal wet basin for her re-commissioning period, before being hosted by Port Pendennis Marina, where the fleet is based during the regatta programme.
The south west of England, and Falmouth in particular, has become renowned for having some of the most challenging and exciting sailing conditions in the UK, making it an amazingly popular hub for sailing events. In fact, this will be the second J-Class Regatta to take place in Falmouth Bay in the past three years. The event will be attended by three outstanding vessels: Lionheart, charter yacht Ranger and superyacht Velsheda.
The team at Pendennis will be watching the eagerly awaited 5-day race with great interest, having welcomed each of the yachts into the yard for refit works over the years – Lionheart this year and in 2012, Ranger in 2006, and Velsheda also in 2012.
Further charter yachts by Pendennis.
