The prestigious Monaco Yacht Show 2015 came to an end in the glamorous Monaco yacht vacation location on September 26, 2015. The 25th anniversary edition of the event was undoubtedly the largest ever in terms of yachts and exhibitors, with 121 private and charter yachts moored around the expanded display space at Port Hercule, a display of 40 tenders and toys, as well as around 500 dedicated company stands around the quays, and in the air conditioned tents ashore.
The event hosted around 40% of the yachts available for a luxury superyacht charter. Several of these were straight from the yard and brand new to the luxury yacht charter world, including the 69m mega yacht SUERTE from the Italian shipyard, Tankoa Yachts.
Among the many prominent superyacht builders attending the event was the Dutch shipyard Claasen Yachts, who showcased the beautifully crafted and elegant performance/cruising TC127 Truly Classic sailing yacht ATALANTE. The Truly Classic yachts from Classen are all designed by the bespoke Dutch naval architects Hoek, with the mission to combine the elegant aesthetics of the 1930s, with today’s well tested modern underwater hull configurations. They are available in seven lengths, varying in size from 56 to 127 feet.
Each Truly Classic yacht by Claasen boasts a customised interior layout with outstanding joinery, décor and finish quality. This is complimented by an equally customised style, sail plan, keel, draft, deck gear, rig, technical systems and performance level.
Previous yachts from Classen such as classic superyacht HEARTBEAT, and the performance cruiser, luxury yacht FIREFLY, have made history in their own way, and ATALANTE yacht will undoubtedly become equally famous around the world, and will surely be a great competitor in superyacht cups and regattas.
As always the sun shone, but this year with a pleasantly cooling breeze most of the time. It was indeed another highly successful edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, and the busiest as well as most well attended MYS ever!
