The Princess Yachts Middle East marked the delivery of their 100th Princess yacht to Lebanon this month with a prestigious reception, taking place at the official residence of the British Ambassador in Beirut. There was a double reason to celebrate as this year also marks the 20th anniversary of the distributor’s operations in Lebanon.
Over 140 VIP guests, including Princess owners, businesspeople, politicians and media figures, were invited to join the celebrations, hosted by Princess Yachts Middle East and Ambassador Tom Fletcher, where they enjoyed drinks and canapés while being entertained by a string quartet throughout the evening.
Princess Yachts International’s Managing Director, Chris Gates, joined Ambassador Fletcher and Mr. Mohammad Chehab, owner of Princess Yachts Middle East, for the Lebanese and British national anthems before each addressed the gathering to commemorate the momentous occasion.
Mr. Chehab said: “I am very proud to be representing Princess Yachts this evening, one of the leading boat builders in the world. In business, you can achieve amazing success with the right partnership and the right luxury brand. Lebanon is indeed one of the best markets in the world for Princess Yachts, who has for many decades been rewriting the rules of luxury cruising.”
Ambassador Fletcher said: “We are proud to host the celebration of Princess Yacht’s 100th delivery in Lebanon. This shows that Beirut remains open for business. The Brits and Lebanese are traders and sailors, and Princess are helping us do both.”
Following great success as sole distributor of Princess yachts in Lebanon, in 2010 Chehab Marine Ltd expanded within the region under the banner of Princess Yachts Middle East. The company now operates a network of sales and service offices within the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.
