PRIVILEGE MARINE, the new owner of the Privilege and Feeling lines is delighted to announce the return of the complete activities, comprising manufacturing at Les Sables d’Olonne, the historical site of these brands.
All tooling, work in process and stock will be transferred from Lorient (Lanester) in the coming weeks. Production will be re-launched gradually to reach full operational level by September 1, 2012.
Les Sables has been chosen for the restart of the activity due to the on site existence of the technical, industrial, and commercial human ressources which have made these brands synonimous to luxury and quality.
“ It is indeed the men and women who have designed, manufactured and sold these brands who are the backbone and best assets of the company” explains Gilles Wagner, the man who engineered this take over and who will manage the company.
Gilles Wagner (41 years old) established in the area (Vendée) has a long experience in the composite and plastic industries having managed successively several companies, the last one being Altor Industrie the European leader in polyester bathroom pods.
The objective is to favour a set up based on a combination of recognised competence, while also taking into account the present global economic environment. Completion of catamarans in production will be given priority. The level of staffing will be gradually increased to satisfy incoming orders.
In a first phase, priority will be given to PRIVILEGE with a total optimisation of their manufacturing environment. A decision regarding the strategy of FEELING boosting will be decided at a later date.
PRIVILEGE MARINE has renewed the contract with Marc Lombard the architect, designer of the existing lines and intends to rely on most of the existing network of distributors and agents who have been instrumental in developping this world renowned brand.
